Joseph — The Dreamer is an ambitious historical novel that achieves what few biblical retellings have managed: it takes the most well-known family drama in Western literature and makes it vivid, physical and political in a way that feels genuinely new.

Joseph is seventeen when his brothers tear the coat from his back, throw him into a dry well, and sell him to a caravan bound for Egypt. Weeks later he stands in a slave market of the Nile delta, bought by Potiphar, captain of Pharaoh's guard, in a city ruled by Hyksos kings.
This is the story of Joseph from the book of Genesis — told in full as historical fiction, but faithful to Scripture — set in the real world of ancient Egypt.
But it is not Joseph's story alone. Four lives are woven together here, and together they carry the whole:
- Potiphar, rising through Pharaoh's court and drawn into the deadly politics of a great power — until he uncovers a conspiracy that reaches for the throne itself.
- Zuleika, a young priest's daughter given by Pharaoh to Potiphar as his wife, who watches and waits and tries to win her husband's love — until something inside her breaks.
- Jacob, far away, mourning his beloved Rachel and holding together a house of twelve sons and their sisters, already cracking under favouritism, betrayal, and the hunger for power.
And Joseph at the centre — field slave turned steward, marked by dreams he cannot explain and a faith that God has not forgotten him.
Their stories cross and pull at one another until they become one — a mounting drama of palace intrigue, forbidden love, faith and survival, where a single whisper can send a man to the executioner, or to the throne.
